My higher rated opponent walks into a prepared line and is on the ropes after just 18 moves .. just one more punch will knock him out .. I take a giant swing at him and miss!

[Result "1/2-1/2"]
1. e4 c5 2. d4 cxd4 3. c3 dxc3 4. Nxc3 Nc6 5. Nf3 g6 6. Bc4 Bg7
7. e5! The trap is set ;)
7. ... Nxe5? Black takes the bait!
8. Nxe5 Bxe5 9. Bxf7+ Kxf7 10. Qd5+ e6?
Black has to play Kg7 and Nf6, even so he is not happy ..
but 10. ... e6 leaves huge black square weaknesses
11. Qxe5 Qf6 12. Qg3 d5?
Black weakens his black squares more, and weakens his 2nd rank as well .. black is in big trouble
13. Bg5 Qg7 14. Nb5!? Qxb2?
White just has to find the right moves and black will be squashed
15. Qc7+ Kf8 16. Qd8+ Kg7 17. Qc7+ Kf8 18. Be7+ ??
[censored swear words] .. a horrible move by white
18. ... Nxe7 19. Qd8+ Kg7 20. Qxe7+ Kh6
White has to force a draw by repetition or lose a knight for nothing
21. Qh4+ Kg7 22. Qe7+
1/2-1/2
A dissapointing result, I had a winning position at move 18 but threw it away... the correct move was 18. Rc1! and black will lose large amounts of material when the rook arrives on c7.
Score with Smith Morra: +2 =4 -1
